DIRECTOR & FOUNDER
Jonas Westring, born Swedish with many years in the USA and Asia, began his journey into holistic modalities in 1981 at the Scandinavian Yoga & Meditation School. Jonas, a physiotherapist, created ‘Thai Yoga Healing Arts’ in 1998 and has been a pioneer in spreading therapeutic bodywork through the Thai Yoga Certification Program in the USA, Japan and elsewhere over the past 15 years. With an extensive background in traditions from both East and West, combined with a lifelong spirit for adventure, travel and personal inquiry, Jonas joyfully transmits the essence of healing therapies with insight, clarity, and joy. His residence in Chiang Mai, Thailand, enables him to stay updated and innovative within the Thai hands-on healing tradition.

Karl Straub grew up in the USA and now resides in Zurich, Switzerland. He has been a competitive swimmer, dolphin communication researcher, resident manager of a retreat center, actor, business owner, and school teacher. Now he is known for his inspirational yoga and bodywork teaching, infused with humor, compassion, hands-on touch, and overtone chanting. Karl is a graduate of Duke University and studied cognitive science at Columbia University. His yoga-related certifications include Thai Yoga Bodywork, Jivamukti Yoga, and Tibetan Heart Yoga. Karl currently teaches workshops, trainings and retreats internationally, mainly in Europe. He also serves as the Regional Director for the Yoga Studies Institute for Europe.
